Service book

  • The service book is saved in your account. We store the boat and engine names and the entries you add. Only you can see it when logged in.
  • The buyer link is optional. You can turn it off whenever you like.
  • Delete service book removes everything immediately.
  • The service book is also deleted when you delete your account.

Account

  • An account is needed for the service book and for writing posts. Everything else works without an account.
  • We store your email address and, for each passkey, its public key and the device name, for example iPhone.
  • For each login, we store the device name and when you were last active. A login stays valid for 90 days.
  • Login codes are stored only as a hash and expire after 10 minutes.
  • If you write posts, you choose a display name. The name and an address based on it, for example /profil/anna-k/, are shown publicly with your posts and on your profile page. Your email is never shown.
  • Delete account removes your account immediately, along with the service books and posts in it.

Who receives the data

Marinpedia runs on Cloudflare (Workers, the D1 database and image storage). Cloudflare is a data processor and processes the data only on our behalf.

Cloudflare may process data outside the EU/EEA. The transfer is based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, under which Cloudflare is certified.

The forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a human is submitting them.

Alert emails, plan emails, login codes and emails about reviewed posts and reports are sent via Resend (Resend, Inc., USA), from the EU region eu-west-1. Resend processes your email address and the content of the email on our behalf.

Enquiries are only sent to boatyards once the service opens, and only if you have asked us to.

Your rights

You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to processing, to obtain your data in a machine-readable format and to withdraw your consent at any time.

Email us to exercise your rights: hej@marinpedia.se. We will respond within one month.

You can lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY): imy.se

Cookies and local storage

Marinpedia uses cookieless Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views without storing IP addresses or personal data.

We also have our own counters that tally, per day, how many people sign up for alerts and the plan, download the calendar file, click links in emails and the calendar and go on to shops, and how many emails we send. The counters use no cookies and store no IP addresses or other personal data.

The brygga_lang cookie stores your language choice. Local storage in your browser stores My boat, the fact that you have closed the language suggestion, and edit links to your listings. This data stays in your browser and is not sent to us.

When you log in, we set two cookies: __Host-mp_s keeps you logged in and mp_in shows My account in the menu. They are necessary for logging in and are only set when you log in.

They are needed for the site to work as you have chosen, so we do not ask for consent. You can clear them by deleting cookies and site data for Marinpedia in your browser settings.
