Skandia
Lysekils Mekaniska Verkstad delivered its first marine engine in 1902 and was soon selling hot-bulb engines to much of the west coast fishing fleet. In 1920 the company took the name Skandiaverken after its engine. Hot-bulb engines were built until 1966 and diesels from 1933; engine production in Lysekil ended in 1987. Today the association Föreningen L. Laurin runs an engine museum in the old premises.
