Service book

  • The service log is saved in your account. We store the names of the boat and engine and the entries you enter. It is private unless you choose to share or publish it.
  • The buyer link is optional. You can turn it off whenever you like.
  • Delete service book removes everything immediately.
  • The service book is also deleted when you delete your account.

Boatyards and quotes

  • We store contact details, boat and engine details, dimensions, services, preferred dates, location and description in your request. We also store messages, quotes, jobs and work reports, lift bookings and checklists, winter storage spaces, queue registrations and reviews. The company account contains company details, members and their roles.
  • Your request details go only to the companies you choose, up to five. The Servicebok is shared only with your consent and only with these recipients.
  • Company members see their own company's requests and jobs. Other companies cannot see them. Verified company profiles and approved reviews are shown publicly.
  • Events generate notifications in Marinpedia. We send at most one digest email per day, not one email per event.
  • Expired and cancelled requests are deleted after 24 months. Read notifications are deleted after 12 months. Queue details are kept as long as the queue registration exists. The log of changes to the queue is visible to the person in the queue.

Public logbook

If you publish your boat, its name, model, model year, home port, text, images and public service entries (date, action, hours and parts) become visible to everyone. Costs, notes and boatyards are never shown publicly.

The images are stored with Cloudflare. You can unpublish or delete them whenever you like. Deleted images are removed from storage within a few days.

Account

  • The account is needed for the Servicebok, posts and Varv: quote requests, jobs, lift bookings, queues and the business portal.
  • We store your email address and, for each passkey, its public key and the device name, for example iPhone.
  • For each login, we store the device name and when you were last active. A login stays valid for 90 days.
  • Login codes are stored only as a hash and expire after 10 minutes.
  • If you write posts, you choose a display name. The name and an address based on it, for example /profil/anna-k/, are shown publicly with your posts and on your profile page. Your email is never shown.
  • Delete account removes your account immediately, along with the service books and posts in it.

Who receives the data

Marinpedia runs on Cloudflare (Workers, the D1 database and image storage). Cloudflare is a data processor and processes the data only on our behalf.

Cloudflare may process data outside the EU/EEA. The transfer is based on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Cloudflare is certified.

The forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a human is submitting them.

Watch emails, plan emails, login codes, digest emails from Varv and emails about reviewed posts and reports are sent via Resend (Resend, Inc., USA), from the EU region eu-west-1. Resend processes your email address and the email content on our behalf.

Your rights

You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to processing, to obtain your data in a machine-readable format and to withdraw your consent at any time.

Email us to exercise your rights: hej@marinpedia.se. We will respond within one month.

You can lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY): imy.se

Cookies and local storage

Marinpedia uses cookieless Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views without storing IP addresses or personal data.

We also have our own counters that tally, per day, how many people sign up for alerts and the plan, download the calendar file, click links in emails and the calendar and go on to shops, and how many emails we send. The counters use no cookies and store no IP addresses or other personal data.

The brygga_lang cookie stores your language choice. Local storage in your browser stores My boat, the fact that you have closed the language suggestion, and edit links to your listings. This data stays in your browser and is not sent to us.

When you log in, we set two cookies: __Host-mp_s keeps you logged in and mp_in shows My account in the menu. They are necessary for logging in and are only set when you log in.

They are needed for the site to work as you have chosen, so we do not ask for consent. You can clear them by deleting cookies and site data for Marinpedia in your browser settings.
