How we calculate
- B: trailer gross weight max 750 kg, or combined gross weight of car and trailer max 3,500 kg.
- B96 (extended B): car max 3,500 kg and combined gross weight max 4,250 kg.
- BE: car max 3,500 kg and trailer gross weight max 3,500 kg.
- The trailer must never be heavier than the car's maximum towing weight stated in the registration certificate.
Note! Older driving licences may carry different entitlements, and further rules apply (e.g. coupling devices and brakes). Check your combination in the Swedish Transport Agency's trailer calculator.
