About Marinpedia
How we work with sources
Primary source first
We work from manufacturers' manuals, official regulations and other primary sources. Additional details may come from boat clubs, owners' associations and dealers. Sources are linked next to the guide or the model details.
Our own words
Marinpedia compiles data and writes its own explanations. We do not copy manufacturers' descriptive texts. Data we cannot verify is left blank.
We link to the manuals
Manuals link to the publisher or archive. We only publish our own copy when the copyright has expired or when we have permission.
The date is part of the information
The guide's update date shows when the content was last checked against the listed sources.
Who's behind it?
Marinpedia is responsible for the compilation. The guides do not replace the manufacturer's instructions, an inspection or an on-site assessment.
Found an error?
At the bottom of every page there is a link called Report an error on this page. Choose what is wrong, describe it and feel free to add a link to the correct source. If you want a reply once we have corrected it, enter your email.
